Psalm 64

As I was meditating over Psalm 64 today, the phrase 'fear of the enemy' is what I seemed to focus on. David was most likely referring to people. What kept coming to mind for me was the unseen enemies we face on a daily basis- comparison to others, feeling as if we don't matter, anxiety - basically our own inner monologues that Satan uses to keep us from realizing WHOSE we are, that through the blood of Jesus we are daughters of the King. I pray for the preservation of our spiritual lives against the internal enemy.  Thank you to Lisa R Albinus at www.praiseheart.net for the inspiration.  Please feel free to join us on our Facebook group - Bible Journal:Psalms

I had the water bottle drawn and ready for color after I got off this afternoon, but as I thought about Psalm 63 throughout the day a different play on the doodle by Lisa R Albinus from praiseheart.net began to emerge. I began to think about how my grandkids are with a full bottle of water when they are thirsty. They grab it and squeeze it and water goes everywhere, up their nose, down their chin, on their clothes and on the floor. I want to be that way about God...so thirsty for him that when I reach out and drink it gets everywhere ---all over me, where I'm standing and anybody close to me.

Isaiah 11:1

This morning's journaling was done on Isaih 11:1 in my interleaved ESV journaling Bible.  A shoot will come up from the root of Jesse, and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit.  This is a prophetic reference to the Messiah.  David is the shoot as the son of Jesse and the branch is Jesus.

WELCOME

My blog is still under construction, but welcome!  I enjoy Bible journaling.  I have been doing so for a couple of years now.  I sometimes trace images, use stickers and templates, and have recently started drawing images myself by watching videos posted by my friend Lisa Albinus over at Praiseheart.net.

Learning

I enjoy learning new things and recently I have learned from my good friend, Lisa R Albinus, from  praiseheart.net how to create beauti...
