Learning

I enjoy learning new things and recently I have learned from my good friend, Lisa R Albinus, from praiseheart.net how to create beautiful images that can be used on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram using Canva.  I love playing with the images and adding scripture text to them.  I am blessed to be part of the team over at  Encouragement Cafe Ministries helping to encourage others with the Word of God through social media.

Keep Learning!  It keeps your mind young and alert!

Mama

Today is a hard day.  Mama has been gone for 2 months.  How has it been that long?  It seems like just yesterday she was making faces at me because she hated the taste of her medicine.  She always reminded me to let Nick and Madeline come say hello when I got them home from school (not that they would ever forget).  Nick and Madeline miss her as much as we do.  They say hi every time we pass the cemetery.  I miss you so much.  I can hardly wait to see you again one day.  I am glad you are no longer in pain, though.  You are with Jesus and in no pain and that is a blessing even though I miss you like crazy.
I love you, Mama!

Ephesians

Today I started a Bible study on the book of Ephesians using the study from Stone Soup for Five.
I am doing it with the Hide His Word in My Heart Facebook Group.  I really enjoyed the first day and look forward to continuing to learn.  Here are some pictures of my notes on the introduction to Ephesians and Chapter 1.

Psalm 70:5. The Passion Translation
Lord, in my place of weakness and need, won't you turn your heart toward me and hurry to help me? For you are my Savior and I'm always in your thoughts.  So don't delay to deliver me now, for you are my God.
So thankful that God delivers me.

Psalm 69: 1 - 2

O God, my God, come and save me!  These floods of trouble have risen higher and higher.  The water is up to my neck!  I'm sinking into the mud with no place to stand, and I'm about to drown in this storm.

So many times the storms of life overwhelm me especially when I take my eyes off of God; when I pay more attention to my circumstances than to the One in control of them.  I am so thankful that I can call on God and he will save me.  It may not always happen in the way that I think it should, but God always answers.  I may have to walk through  for a bit, but as the saying goes, "If God brings me to it, He will bring me through it."

Psalm 68:9

You sent the reviving rain upon the weary land, showers of blessing to refresh it.

I am so thankful that the Lord sends rain as needed and that He also sends blessings upon His children.  His love is so overwhelming at times, that He loves me enough to bless me when I follow His way.  May we all step out from under our umbrellas and openly receive those blessings.
